Hawthorn is also known as the May Tree, due to the beautiful white blossoms that it produces in May. The fruits are edible although not tasty enough to be really tempting, and there are numerous recipes in the public domain which clearly define the use of Hawthorn berries in foods as diverse as jelly, sauces, pies, fruit bars and in beverages.

More crucially Hawthorn berries have been used in healthcare as far back as the 15th century and known as a tonic.

Hawthorn Berries (Crataegus) is used to promote the health of the circulatory system, treat angina, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure and cardiac arrhythmia and has been found to strengthen the heart.

Ingredients

Tincture of fresh Crataegus oxyacantha (Hawthorn) berries, extracted in alcohol (50%V/V)

Directions

Adults: 15 – 20 drops 3 times a day, in a little water.
Children: This product is not recommended for children.

Do not exceed stated recommended daily dose.
